Homecore was the first French clothing label that was tied to the world of hip-hop. In the late 80s, Alexandre Guarneri and his friend graffiti artist Steph Cop began making T-shirts printed with their work. The original goal was not to make streetwear but the brand had a natural affinity with the growing hip-hop scene in Paris due to the construction and movement of the prints.
Despite having such a close relationship with the genre, the brand is often considered a bastion of independence, with the wearers being hard to pigeon hole and similarly unpretentious.
